SUBJECT:
Approval of a Lump Sum Construction Contract with Remnant Construction, LLC, Fort Pierce, FL, to provide general contractor services for floodproofing the non-residential structure known as Little Jim Bait & Tackle, for Bid No. 2024-004.
SUMMARY:
During the City Commission meeting on May 6, 2024, the Commission made a positive decision to award Bid No. 2024-004 to Remnant Construction, LLC. This project aims to enhance the resilience of the existing wood frame structure by floodproofing its exterior walls in line with FEMA requirements. Moreover, it will also encompass necessary improvements in electrical, plumbing, and other related areas as outlined in the construction plans. This initiative represents a significant step towards ensuring the safety and durability of our community infrastructure.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.

Staff will proceed as directed by the Commission.
