Approval of Agreement between Indian River State College and the Fort Pierce Police Department establishing a police substation on the Massey Campus. 

Indian River State College (I.R.S.C.) has agreed to provide office space for the Fort Pierce Police Department to establish a police substation on its Massey Campus. Indian River State College currently provides one office for the Fort Pierce Police Officer assigned to the campus.  The new space is being provided for use by our Community Policing Bureau personnel. It will assist with delivering improved patrol response to the southwest corridor of Fort Pierce, including Indian River State College. This space is being provided at no cost. 

The City Attorney's Office drafted and approved a written agreement to memorialize the Police Department's use of the office space with consideration given to the indemnification of the City and Police Department. The agreement, between I.R.S.C. and the Fort Pierce Police Department has been signed by I.R.S.C. representatives and Chief Diane Hobley-Burney. The agreement now requires the Mayor's signature and the City Clerk's signature.
