SUBJECT:
Approval of Inspire Placemaking Collective Specific Authorization No. 1 in the amount of $99,500.00 for the Downtown Park Conceptual Design
SUMMARY:
In November 2022, the FPRA Board approved the Downtown Master Plan, which outlines the transformation of Marina Square into Marina Park. Through the Continuing Services Contract, staff enlisted Inspire Placemaking Collective to develop a conceptual design for this new public space. The design aims to integrate community input received during public engagement sessions, emphasizing parking solutions, potential programming, waterfront access enhancements, and expanded green areas. Marina Park will be designed to cater to people of all ages and abilities, promoting inclusivity with a variety of uses and activities.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
