SUBJECT:

Resolution 25-R23 Granting or Denying a Time Extension for the Sale Agreement of 604 S 6th Street.

SUMMARY:

On April 1, 2024, the City of Fort Pierce entered into an Agreement pursuant to Resolution No. 24-R15 for the sale of property at 1204 Avenue E, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. The Agreement required the Grantee to develop a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom single-family home, following a specified Development Timeline.
 
Per the Agreement, the Grantee was obligated to apply for all necessary approvals and permits within 195 days of the title's conveyance. The property was conveyed on June 28, 2024, establishing a January 9, 2025 deadline.
 
The Grantee did not meet the deadline and has requested a 170-day extension. If approved, the new deadline to obtain the required approvals would be June 28, 2025.
