SUBJECT:
Approval of expenditure of Law Enforcement Trust Funds to purchase two (2) Penlink PLX Software Licenses in the amount of $18,000.00.
SUMMARY:
Penlink PLX Professional Addition is a digital solution for law enforcement to collect, analyze, and manage digital evidence from various sources, to include phone records, social media, email, and open-source intelligence. It is an essential investigative tool to streamline investigations by consolidating data, identifying evidence and uncovering connections that may not be readily apparent. The total cost of a one-year subscription for two (2) concurrent licenses will not exceed $18,000.
I certify that this request complies with the provisions set forth under subsection 5(a)(b) of Florida State Statute 932.7055. Should the City Commission approve these expenditures, the purchase will be made in accordance to the City of Fort Pierce’s purchasing rules and regulations.
