SUBJECT:

Approval of Specific Authorization No. 2 with Architects Design Collaborative, LLC. for Architectural Services and MEP Design for the 4th Floor of the Sunrise Center in an amount not to exceed $96,500.00.

SUMMARY:

At the September 2025 FPRA Board meeting, Architects Design Collaborative, LLC presented the schematic design for the proposed interior build-out of the Sunrise Event Center, located on the fourth floor of the Sunrise Center at 300 Orange Avenue, Fort Pierce. Following that presentation, and in keeping with the Board’s discussion to advance the project, staff is seeking authorization for the consultant to proceed with preparation of Design Development and Construction Documents for the approximately 7,800-square-foot space.

Scope of Services:
  • Design Development: The consultant will prepare design development documents based on the approved schematic design, establishing the architectural design, systems layout, and preliminary project specifications. 
  • Construction Documents: The consultant will prepare detailed construction documents and specifications suitable for bidding and permit submission.
  • Systems Coordination: The consultant will coordinate the integration of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines to ensure a cohesive and functional design.
The work is expected to be completed within twelve (12) weeks from the date of authorization to proceed.
 

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.
