SUBJECT:

Approval of Specific Authorization No. 2025 - 2: Professional Engineering Services for the Coach Fenn Park Improvement Project  in an amount not to exceed $119,320 which will be reimbursed from CDBG funds.

SUMMARY:

As part of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and in collaboration with the Grants Division, the Public Works Department will proceed with improvements to Coach Fenn Park, located at 2306 Ave I, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. This initiative will involve several enhancements, which include:
  • Construction of a splash pad
  • Development of a parking lot
  • Installation of utility infrastructure
  • Addition of modular restrooms
  • Construction of pavilions
  • Installation of a playground shade structure
City staff is engaging the services of Cape Design Engineering (CDE) under the city's continuing services agreement for a fee not to exceed $119,320. CDE will provide the necessary permit drawings and reports required to facilitate the acquisition of contractors through a subsequent competitive bidding process.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve Specific Authorization No. 2025 - 2: Professional Engineering Services for the CDBG Coach Fenn Park Improvement Project Not to Exceed $119,320
