SUBJECT:

Approval of Change Order No. 17, General Contractor Services, Extending Rental of Temporary Construction Fence in an amount not to exceed $2,689.66 to cover the duration of the Highwaymen Museum project parking lot drainage system construction.

SUMMARY:

This change order addresses the additional cost associated with extending the duration of the temporary fence installation on site. The extension is necessary to ensure safety and security during the ongoing construction of the parking lot drainage system.

The approval timeline for the parking lot change orders, along with the associated permit process, extended beyond the originally projected schedule. As a result, maintaining the construction fence for a longer period is required to safeguard the site and support uninterrupted progress.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approving Change Order No. 17 in an amount not to exceed $2,689.66 to extend the rental of the temporary fence.

ALTERNATIVES:

The Commission can deny or offer to share the cost with the Contractor.
