Approval of the Amendment to the grant agreement between the State of Florida, the Department of State and the City of Fort Pierce extending the grant period for the Highwaymen Museum project to June 30, 2026.

This extension moves the grant deadline to June 30, 2026, allowing adequate time to complete the grant-funded portion of the project by the projected completion date of December 30, 2025. Remaining work includes exterior site improvements—such as the overflow preventer plumbing tie-in, dumpster enclosure, parking lot grading, asphalt paving, fence installation, and paver brick installation—as well as interior tasks like completing the punch list and final walkthrough. Additionally, the installation of four cement mosaic benches and final landscaping will be completed during this period.

In addition, the mural installation is expected to begin December 8, 2025 and be completed by February 13, 2026.

Staff recommends approval of the Amendment to the extension of the grant period for the Highwaymen Museum project.

Staff will proceed as directed by the Commission.
