SUBJECT:

Approval of an Agreement between the City of Fort Pierce and Main Street Fort Pierce, Inc. to provide services from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, for an amount not to exceed $50,000.

SUMMARY:

The City of Fort Pierce and Main Street Fort Pierce, Inc. (MSFP) successfully completed the first year under the revised agreement established in response to federal funding changes. The updated agreement introduced a detailed Scope of Services, Deliverables, and Reporting Form, aligning MSFP’s work with the principles of Main Street America’s Impact for Main Street Transformation and the Florida Main Street Guide. The agreement incorporates the Four Points framework—Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization—while continuing several elements from prior contracts.

Additional requirements were added to strengthen accountability, including expanded insurance coverage (general liability, automobile liability, and professional liability), with the City listed as an additional insured party on general and automobile policies.

Under this renewed agreement, MSFP will continue to:

  • Strengthen the district’s economic base.

  • Partner with the City and Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency (FPRA) to enhance the district’s physical appearance.

  • Assist in promoting FPRA programs and City initiatives.

  • Implement creative programming and a comprehensive marketing and community engagement strategy.
