SUBJECT:
Approval of the collective bargaining agreement wage opener article between the City of Fort Pierce and Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association (Police Officer Unit) October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2027.
SUMMARY:
The City and the Union have come to an agreement on the wage re-opener article for the Police Officer Unit. The compensation step plan includes a range from 7% to 14% increase. In addition to the increases to the steps, officers will be moved to the next step as of October 1, 2025. The agreement has been ratified by the Union.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff would restart negotiations with the Union.
