SUBJECT:
Approval of the expenditure to piggyback Sourcewell Contracts, 112624-KBA, & Related Attachments 082923-KBA, for the purchase of one (1) Kubota SCL1000 with a Mini Vibratory Plow Attachment from Crystral Tractor, Leesburg, FL, in accordance with the attached quote, for an amount not to exceed $56,611.81 subject to future contract approval.
SUMMARY:
The Public Works Department is seeking approval for the purchase of one (1) Kubota SCL1000 with a Mini Vibratory Plow Attachment from Crystral Tractor, of Leesburg, FL, per the Sourcewell Contracts, 112624-KBA, & Related Attachments 082923-KBA in the amount of $56,611.81.
The Kubota SCL1000, equipped with a Mini Vibratory Plow (Trencher), will be utilized by the Parks and Grounds Division to assist with the installation of irrigation and drainage systems, placement of utility conduits, landscape renovations, and general infrastructure maintenance. Its compact design enables City crews to work efficiently in tight or landscaped areas while minimizing turf disturbance. This approach reduces restoration costs and helps maintain the aesthetics of the parks. Additionally, the trencher enhances productivity by decreasing labor time and eliminating the need for rented equipment or hired contractors.
Overall, the equipment provides a cost-effective and versatile solution that enables faster project completion and improved maintenance of city parks and public spaces.
