SUBJECT:
Resolution 26-R16 approving two Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement contracts from FDOT for the maintenance of improvements along US 1, Virginia Avenue, Indian Hills Drive, Savannah Road, Heathcote Drive, Gardenia Avenue and the Mayflower Canal.
SUMMARY:
FDOT Project 441714-1-52-01 (along Savannah Road from US 1 to Heathcote Drive) and Project 441715-1-52-01 will construct drainage and stormwater upgrades and improvements along the Mayflower Canal from SR 70 (Virginia Avenue to Gardenia Avenue) and along Gardenia Avenue from Mayflower Canal to the Virginia Avenue Outfall Canal.
Additionally, Project 441715-1-52-01 will construct improvements along Indian Hills Drive, specifically French Drain and supporting pipes and manholes, within City Right of Way that will be maintained by FDOT. The proposed improvements are detailed in Exhibit A of the MMOA's and the plan sheets are included in the contracts as well.
Staff has coordinated with FDOT and the City Attorney's office for approval of these agreements.
Because of the current schedule, FDOT has requested these MMOA's be executed as soon as possible.
Additionally, Project 441715-1-52-01 will construct improvements along Indian Hills Drive, specifically French Drain and supporting pipes and manholes, within City Right of Way that will be maintained by FDOT. RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the MMOA's and authorization for signatures.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve the MMOA's and provide preferences for further coordination with FDOT.
