Approval of expenditure for Annual Purchase Order with Nextran Truck Centers for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Parts and Services for Solid Waste Mack refuse trucks in an amount not exceeding $100,000.00.

The Public Works Department is requesting approval to procure Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and services from Nextran Truck Centers, the authorized Mack Trucks dealer for the Central and Southeast Florida regions.

Nextran Truck Centers is the sole authorized dealer for Mack Trucks within its designated territory and is the exclusive provider of OEM parts, warranty repairs, and factory-certified service for these vehicles. Utilization of the authorized dealer is necessary to maintain manufacturer warranty compliance, ensure equipment compatibility, and preserve operational reliability and safety standards. No other authorized Mack dealers serve this geographic area.

A written statement of exclusivity from the manufacturer or authorized dealer is attached to substantiate this sole-source determination. The Commission has previously approved this vendor for the same purpose in prior fiscal years.
