At the March 2, 2026 update to the City Commission, staff reported that a title search was underway for the Crabby’s Dockside property to confirm whether any encumbrances existed that would need to be addressed prior to taking action on the lease termination.

The title report was received on March 12, 2026, and indicates that there are no additional or new encumbrances on the property. With this information, staff is prepared to proceed with next steps as directed by the City Commission.

Staff requests that the City Commission:

• Receive the title report for the Crabby’s Dockside property;

• Provide direction on whether to initiate termination of the existing lease;

• Provide direction on pursuing recovery of outstanding amounts owed; and

• Provide direction regarding the timing and format of a future competitive solicitation for the property.
