SUBJECT:

Waive all interest, penalties, and administrative fees in the amount of $1081.10 for Lot Clearing Lien against 3202 Citrus Avenue, Ft. Pierce, FL; Parcel ID No. 2408-805-0021-000-2; owned by Edgar & Nency Perez, 4002 Greenwood Drive, Ft. Pierce, FL  leaving a balance of $610.30 payable in 60 days.

SUMMARY:

Request by Edgar & Nency Perez, 4002 Greenwood Drive, Ft. Pierce, FL to waive all city incurred charges, administrative fees, interest, and penalties in the amount of $1691.40 leaving a balance of $.00.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends waiving all interest, penalties and administrative fees only. This recommendation is based on the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Perez are the new owners of the property through a Quit Claim Deed and were not the violators.  The property is attached to another piece of property that is owned by Mrs. Perez's father that they want to join through a unity of title.  They have since maintained the property and there have been no further violations to date.

ALTERNATIVES:

  1. Approve Mr. & Mrs. Perez's request for full waiver.
  2. Deny request.
  3. Determine alternative amount.
