SUBJECT:
Resolution 16-R26 Declaring Certain Property as Surplus
SUMMARY:
City staff has reviewed the request to abandon the parcel adjacent to the east side of 401 Indian River Drive, for the development known as Indian River Villas. A title commitment has indicated that the property is owned fee simple by the City of Fort Pierce, as such, the City Attorney has opined that the parcel must go through the surplus property disposition process.
This Resolution will declare the parcel surplus to the City's needs and will initiate the disposal process.

Adopt Resolution 16-R26

Intangible benefit not yet quantifiable, however, passage of the Resolution initiates the surplus property disposition and takes the first step towards putting this land back into the hands of private ownership.
