SUBJECT:
Approve termination of Interim Legal Services contract with Robert V. Schwerer and the law firm of Hayskar, Walker, Schwerer, Dundas & McCain effective close of business on July 1, 2016.
SUMMARY:
At the May 16, 2016 City Commission meeting, James Messer, City Attorney announced his intent to terminate the Interim Legal Services Contract with Robert V. Schwerer and the law firm of Hayskar, Walker, Schwerer, Dundas & McCain effective close of business on July 1, 2016. The Mayor and City Commission expressed no opposition. On May 18, 2016, Mr. Messer hand delivered the notice of written termination to Mr. Schwerer.
RECOMMENDATION:
Ratify the Notice of Termination effective July 1, 2016 provided by Mr. Messer.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve the Notice of Termination.
