SUBJECT:
Approval to submit and accept the Allegany Franciscan Ministries Grant in the amount of $250,000.
SUMMARY:
The City of Fort Pierce has been presented the opportunity to partner with Allegany Franciscan Ministries for Capital Improvements. The city is submitting a $500,000 proposal to purchase essential equipment that will allow the the police department to be more effective and efficient in providing law enforcement services while continuing to develop safe neighborhoods in our community. The Capital Improvement proposal is designed to reduce violent crime in the Lincoln Park Community, provide transparency in police services and build trust and community partnerships.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of request.
