SUBJECT:
Approve grant award for Hassie Russ, owner of Granny's Kitchen in the amount of $3,000 as an eligible recipient under the 2015-2016 CDBG Grant Award for Small Businesses.
SUMMARY:
2015-16 CDBG Action Plan allocates funding for small businesses that attend two (2) educational workshops to purchase items to improve capacity & sustainability. Ms. Russ attended workshops 2/3 and 5/18/16 & has applied for a grant to help cover cost of a grease trap for Granny's Kitchen.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve grant award for Ms. Russ to help cover the costs of a new grease trap for Granny's Kitchen.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve this grant award.
