SUBJECT:
Resolution 16-R43 Supporting Florida Senate President-Designate Joe Negron's plans to pursue funding to add 120 billion gallons of new water storage south of Lake Okeechobee.
SUMMARY:
St. Lucie County passed a similar Resolution on August 15, 2016 and asked the City to join in supporting Senator Negron's plans to address the lake Okeechobee discharges that are causing significant harm to the Indian River Lagoon.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution 16-R43
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not adopt.
