SUBJECT:
Approve Grant Award for Ms. OK K Dong, for her business, Seoul Garden, in the amount of $3,000 as an eligible recipient under the 2015-2016 CDBG Action Plan - Grant Award for Small Business.
SUMMARY:
2015-16 CDBG provides funds for grants after business owners attend 2 small business workshops, for items to increase capacity & sustainability. Ms. Dong attended workshops 5/18 & 8/18/16 & applied for grant to help cover the costs of updated grease interceptor for her restaurant.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve grant award for $3,000 for Ms. Dong to purchase updated grease interceptor for her business, Seoul Garden to increase her business' capacity and sustainability.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve this grant award.
