SUBJECT:
Utilization of Human Development Resource Center's Gymnasium - Deputy City Manager
SUMMARY:
City of Fort Pierce Staff was recently advised verbally that the Boys & Girls Club of Saint Lucie County would be vacating the location citing financial difficulties. Written notification is anticipated to arrive soon.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the establishment of a new or expanded partnership with another community service provider to operate this facility. In the interim period, City of Fort Pierce Staff will operate the facility as a venue similar to the River Walk Center, Garden Center and Maravilla Clubhouse.
