SUBJECT:
Approval of Specific Authorization No. 1 Permitting Services to Tetra Tech of Stuart FL. in the amount of $16,411.00.
SUMMARY:
Authorization No. 1 is tasking Tetra Tech to acquire a multi-year maintenance dredge permit for the City Marina basin and entrance channel. The City is also attempting to work with FIND to piggy back their ICW dredging project, Tetra Tech will coordinate with FIND, FDEP and Army Corps to determine the possibility of disposal of dredge spoils on the beach under FIND's dredging permit. Tetra Tech will also discuss other possible spoil disposal sites (upland and erosion repairs on Tern Island eastern beaches).
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval
ALTERNATIVES:
Seek just the maintenance dredge permit and the City define and permit a DMA ( Dredge Management Area) for spoil disposal.
