- FY 2014 Law Enforcement Trust Fund Contributions
SUBJECT:
Approve contribution of $6,500 to the Police Athletic League from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund.
SUMMARY:
According to Florida Statute 932.7055, the police department is required to spend 15% of Law Enforcement Trust Fund revenues from forfeitures and seizures each year in support of crime prevention activities. The requested contribution will be applied to meeting the obligation for FY2014 and provide meaningful support to community based activities. This expenditure meets the requirements of Florida's Statute 932.7055.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the contribution request.
