SUBJECT:
Reduce Code Enforcement Lien in the amount of $9,000.00 against 314 N. 15th Street, Ft. Pierce, FL owned by WPG Group, 4410 NE 18th Avenue, Oakland Park, FL 33334 contingent upon payment of $1,016.12 within 60 days.
SUMMARY:
Staff and the Special Magistrate recommend that the City Commission reduce fines totaling $9,000.00 against 314 N 15th Street, Ft. Pierce, FL to $1,016.12 based upon the following:
1. Previous owner James Frangella complied the property and came before the City Commission July 7, 2008 for a reduction of lien. The Commission reduced the lien to $1,016.12 payable within 60 days. The reduced lien was not paid and the lien reverted back to the original amount.
2. The violation was for an inoperative vehicle.
3. The current owner purchased the property without doing a lien search. Once they found out about the lien, they contacted Code Enforcement and proceeded to do a request for lien reduction with the promise of payment within the 60 days.
