SUBJECT:
Notification of Director of Development's approval of a Minor Amendment to Site Plan & Conditional Use for Causeway Cove Marina, located at 601 Seaway Drive. The Minor Amendment accommodates access and retention adjustments required with permitting by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) & South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD).
SUMMARY:
- The applicant submitted a minor amendment of the approved Site Plan to accommodate operational adjustments, consolidation of construction phases, and the final parking area design.
- The adjustments include removal of the boat ramp, primary wave attenuator, shifting of parking closer to docks and dockmaster’s quarters, updated driveway circulation, detailed RV site design, and removal of sidewalk connection to Harbour Isle.
- The developer has completed the 198 slip marina facilities, with construction of the site work and commercial buildings underway.
- The Director of Development has administratively approved the Minor Amendment, with a minor condition, based upon consistency with Section 22-58(i) and the Comprehensive Plan.
RECOMMENDATION:
View Conditionally Approved Minor Amendment (Handicap Parking Requirement)
ALTERNATIVES:
Present findings that the proposed amendment is substantial, not minor, in nature, whereupon the amendment shall then be reviewed by the same procedure required for original approval as set forth in this section.
