SUBJECT:
Approve award of the Canal Right-of-Way Mowing and Debris Removal Services (Bid) maintenance contract to the low bidder, Dunn's Tractor Services, LLC., Fort Pierce, FL, in an amount not to exceed $246,700.00.
SUMMARY:
Of the three (3) respondents remitting bids for the Canal Right-of-Way Mowing and Debris Removal Services, Dunn's Tractor Services, LLC. was the lowest bidder in the amount of $246,700.00. Bids were evaluated based on experience, proposed fees, and the location of business.The work to be completed under this construction contract includes mowing of the canal banks, retention area banks and green areas; trim around guardrail, remove litter from the canals, adjoining canal banks and adjoining right of ways. The work also includes mowing, trimming, removal of exotic vegetation, and litter removal of two park like areas within the City.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend approval of the bid to Dunn's Tractor Services, LLC. in the amount of $246,700.00. Funding to be provided by SMU Revenue Account No. 403-4300-538.46-20.
ALTERNATIVES:
Re-bid the project.
