SUBJECT:

Approve to replace two (2) inoperable Apogee Control Panels by Siemens Industry, Inc., Fort Pierce, FL, at the Sunrise Theatre in an amount not to exceed $12,245.00.

SUMMARY:

Currently there are two (2) inoperable Control Panels on two HVAC units that are not operative at the Sunrise Theatre. The two HVAC units provide air conditioning to the stage and backstage areas at the theatre. Siemens technicians have indicated that the panels need to be replaced as they are out of production and parts for servicing them are no longer available.  The amount for replacement is $12,245.00 as per the attached proposal dated January 11, 2018.

The Purchasing Department has reviewed and investigated this request and found that all information and justification to be correct.  It is on this basis that a recommendation be made  to waive the competitive procurement  and that this item be treated as a "Single Source" commodity.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approval of $12,245.00 to replace the two control panels.

ALTERNATIVES:

Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
