SUBJECT:

Approval of Johnson-Davis, Inc. proposal in the amount of $73,680.00 for the removal and replacement of a failed drainage system located at Avenue Q and 13th Street.

SUMMARY:

The existing 60" RCP drainage pipe located along 13th Street has deteriorated beyond repairs and is in dire need of replacement.

The scope of work includes the de-watering, removal and replacement of 48 lf of 60” RCP pipe, modification of two inlets, along with road and site restoration within the intersection of Avenue Q and 13th Street.

Johnson-Davis, Inc (Ref. Bid #2017-24, Emergency Drainage Repairs) is currently utilized by the City of Fort Pierce as a continuing contractor for emergency drainage repairs. This contract has a preset budget of $200,000/fiscal year, to date an amount of $50,187.63 remains. Therefore, this request recommends the allocation of $23,492.37 in order to complete this emergency repair.
