SUBJECT:
Ordinance No. 14-020 - Levying and Collecting of taxes for Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2014 and ending September 30, 2015; Adopting Final Millage Rate. SECOND READING
SUMMARY:
In order to levy taxes on property within its jurisdiction, the City of Fort Pierce must have an ordinance prepared and adopted per the City Charter and Florida Statutes. This ordinance is prepared to comply with statutory requirements by both the City and State.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Ordinance No. 14-020, adopting the millage rate of 6.5786 per thousand dollar valuation on all real and personal property.
ALTERNATIVES:
Decrease the millage rate.
