Approval of an lnterlocal Agreement between the City of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County beginning October 1, 2018 for cooperation on state lobbying in an amount not to exceed $25,000.

The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners and the City of Fort Pierce desire to collaborate for the 2nd year, on the provision of lobbying services and representation in Tallahassee, FL, during the 2019 legislative session. This interlocal agreement outlines the path of cooperation for lobbying services, representation, efficient use of public resources, allocation of responsibilities, and the designation of one or more parties to administer or execute the agreement. Beginning October 1, 2018 for a term of three (3) years and shall automatically renew for another three (3) year term, unless either party provides notice to the other of its intent to terminate this agreement not less than thirty (30) days before the end of the then current term. Coordination has been outstanding and this has been a very productive initiative.

Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
