- Approval of an extension for the Treasure Coast Recovery Center - 604 Midway Road
SUBJECT:
Approval of a Site Plan Extension (with Conditional Use and Design Review) for the Treasure Coast Recovery Center - 604 Midway Road. The new expiration date would be August 7, 2019.
SUMMARY:
- The applicant is requesting extension of a Site Plan approval (including Conditional Use and Design Review) for a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center locted at 604 Midway Road.
- The proposed Development includes re-use of an existing 6,000 square foot medical office and construction of a new 50,820 square feet in-patient treatment center with related improvements to parking, lighting, landscaping, storm water and other hardscape items.
- The Site Plan was originally approved on August 7, 2017. The applicant has requested an extension in accordance with Sec. 22-58(j): Site plan approval shall terminate twelve (12) months after approval by the city commission if construction of buildings or structures has not been started. If, subsequent to this initial twelve-month period, a valid construction permit is not maintained, the site plan shall be deemed invalid or terminated. Site plan extensions of time may be granted by the city commission prior to the expiration of a site plan upon a showing of good cause and when such extension will promote public health, safety and general welfare. Any request for an extension to a site plan must be submitted in writing to the director of planning for review no later than thirty (30) days prior to expiration of the site plan.
- New expiration would be August 7, 2019.
