SUBJECT:
Approval and acceptance of FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant agreement for the construction of the 17th Street (Orange Avenue to Avenue D) drainage improvement project in the amount of $856,198.
SUMMARY:
The City applied for a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant for the reconstruction of 17th Street between Orange Avenue and Avenue D. The City was awarded this grant receiving $856,198 of federal funds towards the estimated construction cost of $1,141,597.
RECOMMENDATION:
Engineering recommends approval of the proposed grant agreement.
ALTERNATIVES:
Reject grant agreement and delay construction.
