SUBJECT:
Resolution 19-R32 Approving the donation of City of Fort Pierce owned land for the North Causeway Bridge Replacement project to FDOT.
SUMMARY:
FDOT is in the process of finalizing the design of the fixed-bridge proposed to replace the deteroriating draw-bridge currently in place along SR A1A (North Causeway). This new design requires additional land in order to accomodate the bridge's approach and departure lanes which in-turn warrants the land acquistion for additional right-of-way.
The parcel of land requested for donation is 1,860 SF in size and is situated on the north side of SR A1A east of Old Dixie Highway.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval

Deny and have FDOT erect a draw-bridge or research another route for a fixed-bridge
