SUBJECT:
Request to reduce Building Department lien in the amount of $78,790.00 against 315 S 17th Street, Ft. Pierce, Florida 34950, Parcel ID Number: 2409-314-0002-000/9, owned by Ermith Lazare of 3406 Menendez Avenue, Ft Pierce, FL 34947 to $1,500.00 payable within 90 days.
SUMMARY:
The case was initiated on June 6, 2017. Permit to address the violations was not obtained until June 8, 2018, and received it's necessary final inspection one March 18, 2019. Fines accrued from May 7, 2018 to March 18, 2019. The fines total: $78,790.00, which includes recording fees.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Special Magistrate, having heard the request of the owner and the testimony from staff, recommends reducing the lien to $1,500.00, payable within 90 days. If the amount is not paid, the fines will revert to their original amount of $78,790.00.
