SUBJECT:
Approval of Second Addendum to Agreement Between the City of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County to Exchange Rights-of-Way.
SUMMARY:
On November 15, 2023, the City of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County entered into an agreement for the exchange of certain rights-of-way. St. Lucie County agreed to convey to the City of Fort Pierce a right-of-way known as Indian River Drive from Avenue A to Seaway Drive. In exchange, the City of Fort Pierce agreed to convey to St. Lucie County the rights-of-way known as: Avenue M Extension; Fisherman’s Wharf from the Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) right-of-way to its eastern terminus; Harbor Street; Port Avenue; North 2nd Street from Seaway Drive to its northern terminus; and North Indian River Drive from Seaway Drive to Fisherman’s Wharf. The City Commission previously approved an addendum extending the due diligence period while environmental studies were underway. Those studies have been completed and a second addendum and extension was needed for the preparation of closing documents. St. Lucie County has already executed the second addendum.
