Approval of the 2026 Operation Agreement between the City of Fort Pierce and Indian River State College (IRSC) for a school resource officer which is funded by IRSC.

The Fort Pierce Police Department currently provides a School Resource Officer to Indian River State College. In turn, Indian River State College pays a flat fee to the City for those services. The Operation Agreement to provide those services has been in effect since 2020, with no modifications or increases in fees paid by Indian River State College. The new Operation Agreement updates new language agreed to by both parties and increases the fee paid by Indian River State College.  

Staff recommends that the City Commission authorize the Mayor to sign the Operational Agreement between the Fort Pierce Police Department and Indian River State College.
