Legislative Hearing - Ordinance No. 17-039 Amending Chapter 4 - Animals to resolve issues identified by staff during the first year of enforcement efforts regarding tethering. SECOND READING
SUMMARY:
An ordinance amendment to resolve issues identified by staff during the first year of enforcement efforts regarding tethering.
- Provides a definition for "responsible person".
- Specifically requires a responsible person to be outside and in view of the animal whenever it is tethered.
- Amends the penalty from $50.00 to $100.00.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the ordinance as presented.
