SUBJECT:
Resolution 19-R08, authorizing the creation and recordation of a 12' wide Edwards Road Canal (Canal No. 9) Right-of-Way located along the south side of the properties situated at 1029, 1031, 1033, and 1035 Trinidad Avenue.
SUMMARY:
The Edwards Road Canal (Canal No. 9) has been in place in excess of twenty-five (25) years. As part of the USDA Natural Resources Service District (NRCS) Emergency Watershed Protection Program construction funding was secured for enclosing part of this canal. However, during the engineering design it was discovered that approximately 325 LF of this canal is situated on private property and therefore a Maintenance Map is required to be filed in accordance with Florida State Statutes.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval

Forego NRCS funding and do not complete the canal improvements
