SUBJECT:
Approve the permit for Unintentional Encroachment between the City of Fort Pierce and Tri-County Animal Hospital, LLC to cure an encroachment issue.
SUMMARY:
This permit cures the encroachment issue of the existing building onto an easement held by the City of Fort Pierce. The permit can be terminated by the City at any time if necessary. Jack Andrews, City Engineer, and David Cleveland, representative, have agreed that for the purposes of the City’s easement, repair, replacement or maintenance of a submerged drainage pipe, may be conducted without interference by the encroaching building corner.
At site plan approval for the original building construction, the commission urged the veterinary firm to locate its building in fashion to preserve two mature oak trees on the site. This resulted in the encroachment originally.
