SUBJECT:
Update on the Request for Qualifications No. 2019-003 Redevelopment of the Former H.D. King Plant Site and selection of shortlist to enter the Request for Proposals phase.
SUMMARY:
The City of Fort Pierce and Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency has embarked upon a two-phase solicitation process -- Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposals -- for the redevelopment of the former H.D. King Plant Site.
The first step of the process is the Request for Qualifications (RFQ). The RFQ is used as a screening step to establish a qualified pool of firms who are eligible to submit responses to a Request for Proposals (RFP). In this two-step process, the response to the RFQ describes the company or individual's general qualifications to redevelop the property.
The RFQ was issued on November 14, 2018 with a response deadline of January 23, 2019. The City of Fort Pierce and Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency received five (5) responses to the Request for Qualifications: Audubon Development, BH3 Management, Jeanne Arias, Marina View Partners Holding, and Virgin Trains USA.
