SUBJECT:
Legislative Hearing - Ordinance 19-031 - an application submitted by the property owner, St. Lucie County, applicant Blue Sky Communities, and representative Dennis Murphy of Culpepper & Terpening, for a Future Land Use Map Amendment for a parcel of land, 9.186 acres in total, to change the Future Land Use designation for parcel ID 2419-211-0004-000-8, from GC, General Commercial, to RH, High Density Residential. FIRST READING
SUMMARY:
- The applicant is requesting the approval of a Future Land Use Map Amendment, for a parcel of land that is approximately 9.186 acres in total size, and located at approximately 1000 feet northwest of State Road 70 on the West side of McNeil Road.
- The applicant would like the change the Future Land Use on the parcels from GC, General Commercial to RH, High Density Residential.
- The Purpose of the request for Future Land Use Map Amendment is to allow for the development of multi-family residential development.
- The applicant also has a oending application for a Zoning Atlas Map Amenedment to rezone to property from C-3, General Commercial to R-5, High Density Residential.
- The Planning Board at thier meering on June 11, 2019 voted 6-0 to recommend approval of the request as presented.
