SUBJECT:

Request to reduce code enforcement lien in the amount of $19,250.00 against 1007 Avenue C, Ft. Pierce, Florida 34950 - Parcel ID Number 2409-513-0008-000-2 previously owned by William I Petit, 6448 NW Foxglove Street, Port St. Lucie, Florida 34986 and currently owned by Kassandra Petit, K and A Petit Trust, P. O. Box 13504, Ft. Pierce, Florida 34979 to $1,200.00 payable in 90 days.

SUMMARY:

The request for reduction is made by William Petit as manager of the property for Ms. Kassandra Petit. While in the process of disposing of the property to cover the college tuition and other debt for Miss Petit, managing owner William Petit learned of the lien and contacted the City for a reduction.  

His original offer for settlement was $250.00

RECOMMENDATION:

The Special Magistrate, having heard the request of the managing owner and testimony from Staff, recommends reducing the lien to $1,200.00 payable in 90 days.  If not paid within the 90 day period, the fines will revert to the original amount of $19,250.00.
