SUBJECT:
Request to reduce code enforcement lien in the amount of $68,540.00 against 3101 Louisiana Avenue, Ft. Pierce, Florida - Parcel ID Number 2417-504-0008-000-9 owned by William Petit, previous address P. O. Box 882251, Port St. Lucie, Florida, 34988 and currently P. O. Box 13504, Ft. Pierce, Florida 34979 to $1,100.00 payable in 90 days.
SUMMARY:
The request for reduction is made by the owner, Mr. Petit, who faced many obstacles and financial problems as a result of the housing market at that time was not able to obtain any additional funding. The property was later demolished by the City.
Mr. Petit's original request was for the lien to be reduced to $250.00.

RECOMMENDATION:
The Special Magistrate, having heard the request from Mr. Petit and testimony from Staff, recommends reducing the lien to $1,100.00 payable in 90 days. If not paid within the 90 day period, the fines will revert to the original amount of $68,540.00.
