Condtional Use - Precious Lambs Daycare - 1504 Avenue F

SUBJECT:

Quasi-Judicial Hearing - Application for Conditional Use with No New Construction submitted by property owner Faye Owens and Applicant Tekeyshia Owens to operate a Daycare, at 1504 Avenue F, Fort Pierce, FL. The property is zoned Medium Density Residential Zone (R-4), Parcel ID: 2404-817-0036-000-5.

SUMMARY:

  • In accordance to City Code Sections 22-22 and 22-76, the applicant is requesting the review and approval of a Conditional Use in order to convert an existing single-family home into a daycare center at 1504 Avenue F.
  • The City Commission previously approved this application and request on April 16, 2012. The applicant has spent that past seven (7) years bringing the home and property up to the current code. During which time, the Conditional Use approval lapsed. The applicant only requires approval for the use of a daycare on the site as building permits have already been applied for and approved by all departments.
  • 70 letters were sent out to property owners within 500 feet of the subject property. 2 letters have been returned approving the request. An update will be given at the City Commission meeting.
  • The Planning Board at their meeting on December 10, 2019 meeting voted 5-0 to recommend approval of the request as presented.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve with one (1) Condition
