Presentation of 2019 Annual Report from the Fort Pierce Infrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee

SUMMARY:

On November 6, 2018, a referendum was held, and the voters of St. Lucie County approved the proposed half cent increase to the state sales tax.  This tax, referred to as the Infrastructure Surtax, would be used to help improve roads, build more sidewalks and support water quality projects.  A citizen committee was established to act in an oversight and advisory capacity to the City Commission to determine if all funds received are being used in accordance with the ballot language.

This is the presentation of the 2019 Annual Report from the committee.
