SUBJECT:
Approval of renewal with Guardian for dental insurance coverage for the October 1, 2014 plan year.
SUMMARY:
The City's insurance consultant, Siver recommends that the City continue with the dental insurance provided by Guardian. Guardian's renewal term of October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015 includes a 6.4% premium increase or $13,860, and no changes in benefits.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the renewal contract with Guardian for the period of October 1, 2014 – September 30, 2015 at a cost of $230,337.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
