SUBJECT:

Approval of FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Agreement modification #1 for the North 17th Street (Orange Ave to Ave D) Drainage Improvements Project.

SUMMARY:

The North 17th Street (Orange Ave to Ave D) Roadway Improvement Project is funded through a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Agreement that is managed by the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM).  The grant agreement’s period of performance was set to expire on March 31, 2021. A time extension was requested on January 28, 2021. We have received approval to modify the grant agreement’s period of performance to December 31, 2021. 

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of the agreement. Federal funding for the project will be withheld.
