SUBJECT:
Rescind Code Enforcement Lien in the amount of $161,500.00 against 312 N 12th Street, Ft. Pierce, FL owned by Beracah Estima Mellon, 312 N. 12th Street.
SUMMARY:
Request by Beracah Mellon to waive the $161,500.00 leaving a $.00 balance. The Code Enforcement Board recommends rescinding the fines and releasing the lien.
RECOMMENDATION:
This recommendation is based on:
1. The home is being foreclosed on and the bank will not negotiate with her until she has satisfied the lien. She wants to remain in the house.
2. She is a widow and in poor health; hospitalized several times in the past couple of months.
3. Financially cannot pay the fines.
4. Some question as to the date the property actually came into compliance.
